Blue Dolphin Pools will measure for and install a custom anchored safety cover for your swimming pool. We can also sell and install stock anchored safety covers in rectangular, oval and grecian shapes. Covers can be solid or mesh material. Stock cover colors are green and blue, but custom colors are available. We sell and install traditional sandbag-weighted rectangular covers, and Blue Dolphin services both these types of covers as well. We also sell, repair and service automatic pool covers.
Safety Vacuum Release Systems
  Commercial Pool Owners! By December 19, 2008 your commercial swimming pool should have been compliant with the Virginia Graeme Baker Safety Act. This means that either a vacuum-release system must be integrated into your plumbing system, or VGB-compliant safety covers must be installed over each of your pool drains. Residential Pool Owners are not required to install VGB drain covers or a vac-release system at this time, however, if you want to be safe, Blue Dolphin Pools can install one of these safety measures on your residential pool. |

Solar Heating Systems
A solar heating system uses the pump that circulates water through the filter on your pool's plumbing system. The water is diverted through cells in a solar panel which is placed on a roof or sometimes in the yard on a stand. The panel does not need to face south; it just has to be in the sun for a good portion of the day. This solar-heated water is returned to the pool. After the water reaches a pre-set temperature, the water bypasses the solar cells and just returns directly to the pool. The cost to install a solar system is comparable to the cost of installing a heat pump system. A solar system has fewer mechanical parts to break or be replaced, and unlike electricity, natural gas or propane, solar energy is free. Never completely drain your fiberglass swimming pool, especially if it is flaking or peeling in places. The pressure from the water on the walls of the pool keeps the fiberglass in place until a contractor can get there to repair it! |
